Mercedes 300 SEL

Brand: Mercedes | Model: 300 SEL

The Classic: There are limousines that shout wealth. And there are limousines that simply have no need to. The Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL is, unequivocally, the second kind. Produced between 1965 and 1972, it was designed to transport heads of state, industrialists and diplomats with a level of comfort that few cars of the era could match. The standard air suspension, highly advanced technology for the period, guaranteed a serene ride regardless of road conditions. The 3.0-litre straight-six engine with direct injection was one of the most sophisticated in world series production: smooth, silent and with power reserves always on call. The interior reflected Mercedes' most demanding standards: genuine leather, natural wood and acoustic insulation worked to the millimetre. We know these cars well. We know what distinguishes a truly well-preserved 300 SEL from one that merely appears to be. A rare classic, rich in history and impossible to replace.
